Sahel Women Education Connect (SWEC) is a grassroots initiative dedicated to empowering conflict-affected and vulnerable women & girls of the Sahel region of Cameroon and beyond.
SWEC works to advance the educational and socio-economic opportunities of women and youth. We believe education is not just knowledge—it is a bridge to independence, leadership, and inclusion.
Through language training, leadership development, and socio-educational programs, we help women and youth connect locally, regionally, and globally, unlocking their potential to lead positive change in their communities.
Our Mission
Educate Women & Youth
Educate marginalized and conflict-affected women and youth — activating their highest potential and nurturing healthy communities around them. The happiness of our world’s women and youth rises above all political and religious differences; and equates to the quality of our world’s happiness tomorrow.
Empower Through Learning
Empower through basic education, leadership trainings and real-life experiences (online and in-person) about the realities of conflict-affected and marginalized communities; while teaching practical skills in aiding needed efforts, thus giving voice to the voiceless.
Raise Awareness
Raise awareness on early girl-child marriage.
Our Vision
SWEC strives to offer global volunteers venues for learning and safely practicing leadership skills. We are a unique organization that believes in absolute transparency and functions almost entirely through the efforts of its unpaid volunteers from all over the world. Our volunteers give their time, skills, energy, and love.
